>family background: Joshua was born to a Russian immigrant father and a Russian American mother. Technically, he was born a conjoined twin. He and his brother, Eric, were immediately separated and they still have a scar from the procedure. His father left to go back to Russia when Joshua was one years old; by the time he was two, his parents had split up. Now Joshua, his mother, and his brother live in suburban LA in a small house.
